Addis Ababa, October 2, 2020 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde has bid farewell to three Ambassadors who have finished their term in Ethiopia.
The Ambassadors include Ambassador Mark Ramsaden of New Zealand, Ambassador Antoine Chevrier of Canada and Ambassador Sulayman Alieu Jack of the Gambia.
The Ambassadors appreciated the cooperation and support that they received while in Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Gedu Andargachew, met and held discussions with the outgoing Ambassador of New Zealand, Mark Ramsden, and the Ambassador of Canada, Antoine Chevrier, at his office today.
Gedu thanked the Ambassadors for their contribution to scaling up their countries’ relations with Ethiopia.
The Minister said Ethiopia and New Zealand could work together in investment, tourism, and public service development.
He also said that the government of Ethiopia would be grateful if the government of New Zealand provides scholarships to Ethiopian students.
Thanking the Canadian government for its cooperation with Ethiopia in agriculture, food security, women, and youth and institution building, Minister Gedu invited Canadian investors and tourists to come into Ethiopia.
The ambassadors thanked the Ethiopian government and people for their support during their stay in Ethiopia. They said they were delighted and fruitful during their stay in Ethiopia.
The ambassadors also reaffirmed that they would work at every opportunity to strengthen relationships with Ethiopia.
