Addis Ababa, July 3, 2024 (FBC) – The FDRE House of People’s Representatives (HoPR) will convene its 36th regular session on July 4th, starting at 8:30 am in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
The parliament’s budget year review session is expected to approve the draft budget of the federal government for the 2024/25 Ethiopian fiscal year which was recently proposed by the Council of Ministers. The proposed budget amounts close to 1 trillion Birr.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is also expected to respond to potential queries from parliamentarians and review the performance report of the federal government for the 2023/24 Ethiopian budget year.
HoPR’s budget year performance review session is expected to be attended by diplomats of various countries and representatives of multilateral organizations stationed in Addis Ababa, as well as religious leaders and other invited guests.
