Addis Ababa, February 13, 2020 (FBC) –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today to meet with Ethiopians living in the Middle East countries.
During his visit, the Premier will hold consultations with more than 15,000 Ethiopians drawn from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
The Prime Minister’s visit is part of the Government’s efforts to ensure the safety and rights as well as create conducive situation for Ethiopians living in the Middle East countries.
More than 100,000 Ethiopians had returned home following the citizen-focused diplomacy the Prime Minister initiated since he took office in April 2018.
