Addis Ababa, February 5, 2020 (FBC) –Police have announced readiness for the successful conduct of the 33rd African Union (AU) Summit.
The Summit will take place in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa at the AU Headquarters over the weekend, 9th–10th February 2020, under the theme “silencing the guns”.
Leaders of 45 countries, including Prime Ministers of Canada and Norway as well as President of the State of Palestine, have confirmed their participation in the summit.
About 8, 700 people have so far confirmed their participation in the two-day meeting. The meeting is expected to attract 10,000 guests.
The 33rd AU Summit kicked off with the 39th Session of the Permanent Representatives Committee in January 21.
According to the program, the 36th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council will take place from 6th –7th February 2020.
