Poland pledges support for Ethiopia’s Digital Transformation Strategy

Addis Ababa, December 9, 2021 (FBC) – Poland pledged support for Ethiopia’s Digital Transformation Strategy in various areas of partnership in the sector.

State Minister for Innovation and Technology, Mrs. Huria Ali who is participating in the 16th African Digital Economy Forum has discussed with Senior Digital Policy Advisor of the Polish Prime Minister Krishtov Schubert on ways of forging partnership between the two countries in the technology sector.

Huria said that Ethiopia has been finalizing preparations to implement is newly developed Digital Transformation Strategy in areas of agriculture, tourism, manufacturing industry and ICT areas, expressing interest of Government of Ethiopia to forge partnership with Poland in such a sphere of activity.

The Senior Advisor of the Polish Prime Minister, for his part, explained to the State Minister about Poland’s experience in the digital development sector.

Schubert further affirmed the commitment of his country, Poland, to support Ethiopia in selected areas of engagement in the digital transformation sector.
