PM vows to continue taking law enforcement measures against TPLF

Addis Ababa, November 7, 2020 (FBC) –Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has vowed to continue taking necessary law enforcement measures against TPLF clique.

In a twitter post, he said “Ethiopia’s quest to have a successful transition towards constitutional democracy requires adherence to rule of law.”

“The Government will continue to take necessary law enforcement measures to safeguard & advance our nascent process of democratization from rogue political actors,” he added

Ethiopia has no place for criminal elements and they cannot escape the rule of law under the guise of seeking reconciliation and a call for dialogue, he stated.

“The proud Ethiopian people of Tigray & other citizens cannot be taken hostage by fugitives from justice forever. We shall extract the region of these criminal elements & relaunch our country on a path to sustainable prosperity for all,” he said.

Prime Minister said the military operation launched in the Tigray regional state aims to end the impunity that has prevailed for far too long and hold accountable individuals and groups under the laws of the land.
