Addis Ababa, April 28, 2024 (FBC) – The Office of the Prime Minister has announced that it will launch a digital telethon for “Clean Ethiopia” initiative today, on Sunday, April 28th, 2024.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) unveiled plans on Friday to build contemporary, hygienic, and respectable public restrooms, with a significant focus on community engagement in their development.
The initiative, named “Clean Ethiopia”, encompasses a fundraising element centered around the theme “Clean Cities – Healthy Lives”.
As per the announcement from the Office of the Prime Minister, a digital telethon for ‘Clean Ethiopia’ will be launched today.
Everyone is invited to join the “Clean Streets – Healthy Lives” movement by contributing into the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia account 1000623230248, it added.
The objective is to solicit both cash and in-kind contributions for the construction of these public facilities.
To showcase this initiative, a prototype has been constructed and prominently displayed within the city, providing a tangible example of the modern and dignified public toilets that will be implemented in the identified corridors.
