Addis Ababa, February 10, 2020 (FBC) –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed has held discussions with leaders of South Sudan, Djibouti and Guinea today on the side-lines of the 33rd AU Summit.
The Prime Minister and President Salva Kiir of South Sudan discussed on progress regarding the formation of a unity government.
They agreed to work together towards expediting the formation of South Sudan’s government.
The Prime Minister also met and held talks with President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti.
The two leaders explored the status of joint logistics and infrastructure projects between the two countries.
They agreed to strengthen cooperation on ensuring regional peace and security.
The Prime Minister also held discussion with President Alpha Conde of Guinea on bilateral issues of mutual concern.
He also met with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to discuss on how to strengthen East African and Sahel region.
The two acknowledged synergies between Ethiopia and Algeria that can be tapped for mutual cooperation.
