Addis Ababa, January 7, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed celebrated Ethiopian Christmas (Gena) with elders, children and persons with disability (PWD).
In his remarks, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of giving and sharing what one has, as material wealth by itself does not make one prosperous, according to office of the Prime Minister.
He further said “Other government officials should develop a culture of celebrating holidays with you.”
More than 400 elders, children and PWD drawn from various charities attended the celebration held at the Unity Park this morning.
Ethiopia celebrates Christmas on January 7th, while the rest of the world celebrates on 25th of December.
