Addis Ababa, November 28, 2024 (FBC) – The reform efforts undertaken by Ethiopia’s security institutions have established a foundation for building institutions suited to the nation’s needs, according to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD).
The Prime Minister shared this message today on social media marking the 89th anniversary of Ethiopian Air Force.
It is known that the national air force is celebrating its 89th anniversary this week with various events, including the 2nd African Air Forces Forum which was held yesterday at its base in Bishoftu town.
Highlighting the reform works implemented in national security institutions, the premier praised the Air Forces’ standout strides towards achieving its goal of becoming the largest air force in the continent in the next six years.
“As the Air Force celebrates its 89th anniversary, it has achieved a significant milestone with the successful readiness for flight of an aircraft named Tsehay 2.0, developed in-house,” PM Abiy noted.
“Equipped with advanced technology to carry out its missions effectively, this achievement underscores the Air Force’s progress toward realizing its vision of becoming the largest air force in Africa by 2030,” he added.
