PM Abiy holds talks with President of Rwanda Paul Kagame

Addis Ababa, April 6, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) held talks today with the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, at Urugwiro Village, in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.

During the meeting, both leaders’ discussion focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in sectors of agriculture, infrastructure and education, among others.

After his meeting with President Kagame, Prime Minister has thanked the Rwandan leader for the warm welcome accorded to him and his delegation.

“I am pleased to witness the development of your country and commend you for sustaining it,” the Premier said in a social media post.

“Both our nations are making great efforts in the field of agriculture and entails collaboration in cascading our positive efforts into the region,” he added.

Prior to his meeting with President Kagame, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed also visited Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture.

Recall that Prime Minister Abiy travelled to Rwanda this morning for a working visit during which he will attend the 30th Commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
