Addis Ababa, September 12, 2023 (FBC) – On the occasion of the Ethiopian New Year, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and First Lady Zinash Tayachew shared holiday meal with the elderly and impoverished sections of society.
According the Ethiopian calendar, today is the first day of the New Ethiopian Year, Meskerem 1, 2016. As it is the custom and the long-preserved tradition of the dawn of the new year, Ethiopians living at home and in different parts of the world are celebrating today the new Ethiopian year, 2016 E.C.
Accordingly, Prime Minister Abiy and First Lady Zinash celebrated the New Year day with the elderly and pensioners where they shared a holiday luncheon with those sections of the society.
