Addis Ababa, March 13, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed engaged in discussions with members of the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church from different regions of the country.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the participants brought up a range of topics, including peace and security, the developmental needs of communities, challenges within the church’s administration, and how the clergy can contribute to lasting peace within the country.
Following his meeting with the religious leaders, the Prime Minister noted on social media that religious elders play a crucial role in our communities.
“Continuing our conversations with different segments of society, today I met with members of the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church, who journeyed from across the country to meet with us for these discussions,” he asserted.
