PM Abiy commends Office of First Lady’s commitment to education, food security

Addis Ababa, October 23, 2022 (FBC) – The FDRE Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, praised the Office of the First Lady-Ethiopia for its commitment to education and engagements to promote food security in cities.

Prime Minister Abiy, alongside First Lady Zinash Tayachew and president of Oromia region, Shimels Abdisa, as well as other senior government officials, attended the inaugural ceremony of the bakery and flour factory in Agaro town on Sunday 23 October.

“I attended the inaugural ceremony of the bakery built by the Office of the First Lady in Agaro. The office’s commitment to education, as well as work to promote food security in cities, is noteworthy”, he tweeted.

The Agaro bakery and flour mill is the first project to be completed among others being built currently by the Office in 11 cities and towns across Ethiopia.

Previously, the Office of the First Lady has completed the construction of similar factory in Addis Ababa that can produce 1 million loaves of bread per day.
