Addis Ababa, October 6, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed asks the legislative body, the House of Peoples’ Representatives, to conduct its follow up activities of the executive body in helpful and empathetic manner.
His remarks have come today in the discussion over the bill that mandates the executive body with powers and duties.
Abiy notes that in government activities “all tasks may not go smoothly and all problems will not be resolved at once unless we learn through time and practice”.
He says that “as government we have system disruption” that may present a challenge to the new government, and reorganizing offices to correct and improve the system is binding.
He has thus called upon all members of the House to be considerate and supportive while supervising the executive activities.
Besides, security works will get priority as peace is basic to accomplish development activities, Abiy added.
