Addis Ababa, September 5, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) had discussions with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang today, where they explored concrete ways to deepen the partnership between Ethiopia and China.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has also presided over the signing of 17 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the two countries on multiple sectors.
The signing of the MoUs is a significant testament to the “all weather strategic cooperation partnership” between Ethiopia and China, the Prime Minister underscored.
The Premier also expressed his desire to strengthen agricultural cooperation between Ethiopia and China, particularly in modernizing practices for enhanced productivity. They also explored support for our industrialization and digitalization efforts as well.
“Earlier, President Xi Jinping unveiled a ten-point action plan at FOCAC, which aligns well with our growth and development goals,” the Prime Minister said.
