PM Abiy Ahmed meets with Presidents of South Sudan, Zimbabwe

Addis Ababa, February 17, 2024 (FBC) – Ahead of the opening session of the AU Summit, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) met with Presidents of Zimbabwe and South Sudan Emmerson Mnangagwa and Salva Kiir Mayardit for discussions on various current issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Abiy also met with President of the African Development Bank Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina earlier this morning.

According to Government Communication Service, Prime Minister Abiy will deliver a speech at the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

State Minister for Government Communication Service, Selamawit Kassa, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed will share Ethiopia’s best experiences in the transformation of the education sector with other African nations, among other topics.

The Prime Minister will also hold bilateral discussion with African leaders and heads of international organizations on the sideline of the AU Summit, according to the State Minister.
