Addis Ababa, December 24, 2022 (FBC) – The FDRE Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, and First Lady, Zinash Tayachew, have inaugurated today the bread and flour factory built in Hawassa city through the Office of the First Lady.
The Prime Minister and the First Lady inaugurated the 4th of 11 bread and flour factories being built throughout Ethiopia.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister-Ethiopia, the factory produces 300,000 loaves of bread and 42 tons of flour per day.
During the inauguration, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reiterated these bread factories are models to encourage the proliferation of similar developments by other stakeholders, in the journey to Ethiopia’s food security.
Following the inagural ceremony, the Premier said on social media “My partner in life, Zinash, through the Office of the First Lady, inaugurated the fourth of eleven bread factories today in Hawassa city”, adding that “These bread factories being built throughout the country have a capacity of producing 300k bread and 42 tonnes of flour per day, providing local communities affordable meal staples.”
It is to be recalled that both PM Abiy and the First Lady inaugurated similar project built by the Office of the First Lady in Wolaita Sodo on Friday.
