PM Abiy Ahmed extends New Year best wishes to Ethiopians

Addis Ababa, September 11, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Ahmed (PhD) has extended Ethiopian New Year best wishes to Ethiopians at home and abroad.

Ethiopia will ring in its 2016 New Year tomorrow, September 12, 2023. Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia at home and abroad will celebrate the holiday with optimism and renewed hope.

“By the grace of the Creator, we have concluded 2015 [Ethiopian Year] and are welcoming a new one. Ethiopia has been victorious through multiple ups and downs,” the Prime Minister said in his New Year best wishes.

“We are here because we have a strong value, a strong people, and the Almighty God,” he underscored, adding that, “We have fulfilled many achievements. We have conquered various challenges and created strong foundations.”

According to the Premier, all that the country achieved is down to solidarity and collective efforts of all Ethiopians.

However, the challenges that the nation encountered have also resulted from differences, he underlined.

PM Abiy indicated that “In the New Ethiopian Year, challenges will shrink. National unity through diversity shall be stronger than diamonds. We will establish Ethiopia’s peace and security on a solid foundation.”

Wishing a prosperous New Ethiopian Year to all, the Prime Minister asserted that the country’s development and prosperity will be leaped onto the level that best fits its reputation.
