Addis Ababa, January 13, 2022 (FBC) –The phone conversation held recently between PM Abiy Ahmed and President Joe Biden shows an improvement in the field of diplomacy between Ethiopia and the United States, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
MFA Spokesperson Ambassador Dina Mufti, gave the Ministry’s biweekly press briefing today to the media.
During the talks, the two leaders discussed current issues in Ethiopia, bilateral relations as well as regional issues, he said.
PM Abiy shared with President Biden the status of Ethiopia’s role of law operations in the northern part of the country as well as the efforts being made by the Government to address issues in relation to humanitarian assistance, human rights and rebuilding efforts in recently liberated areas.
According to Ambassador Dina, both leaders affirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and to work collaboratively on matters of mutual concern.
In his briefing, the Spokesperson also highlighted other activities carried out over the week in the areas of political socio-economic sectors.
