Addis Ababa, May 29, 2024 (FBC) – Given Ethiopia’s substantial potential mineral resources, Pakistani trade and investment delegation members have expressed their readiness to develop connections and engage in the sector.
The business and investment delegates’ comments were made during a visit to the Ministry of Mines and a meeting with Minister of Mines, Habtamu Tegegn, in Addis Ababa.
During the meeting, Minister Habtamu briefed the delegates on the investment opportunities available in the mining sector and extended an invitation for them to participate.
Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jemal Beker, stated that the discussion will facilitate firsthand observation of investment opportunities in Ethiopia, thereby strengthening bilateral relations, trade, and economic ties between the two countries.
Pakistani businesspeople expressed their enthusiasm to capitalize on Ethiopia’s abundant mineral resources, emphasizing their commitment to developing connections and engaging in the sector.
Note that the Pakistani business and investment delegation has arrived in this week to explore investment and business opportunities in Ethiopia. They also visited several industrial parks in the country. Subsequently, the expressed desire to invest in various sectors within the industrial parks.
