Addis Ababa, January 25, 2021 (FBC) –The Oromia and Somali regional states have signed a five-year agreement to collaborate in the areas of peace and development.
The agreement was signed today by Chief Administrator of Oromia regional state, Shimeles Abdisa and Deputy Chief Administrator of Somali regional state, Mustefe Mohammed.
It was signed at a joint peace and development dialogue held today between the two regions in the presence of Minister of Peace, Muferihat Kamil and Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide.
According the agreement, the two regions will carry out joint pace and development activities in 12 zones and 48 woredas at a cost of 222.7 million birr.
The agreement, which targets enhancing peace and development between the two regional states, has a period of five years.
