Addis Ababa, May 9, 2020 (FBC) –The Oromia regional state has promoted 2,481 farmers and semi-pastoralists with a combined capital of more than 10 billion birr to investors.
Chief Administrator of the regional state, Shimelis Abdisa, and other invited guests attended the recognition ceremony held today in Sebeta town.
In his remarks at the event, Shemelis said the government will work to improve the livelihoods of framers and semi-pastoralists.
The recognition is important in assisting the comprehensive efforts being made by the government to boost agricultural productivity, he added.
Those framers and semi-pastoralists promoted to investors today have created employment opportunities to more than 77,000 people by engaging in agro-industrial development.
