Addis Ababa, November 1, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian opposition political parties denounced the ongoing external interference and unjust pressure on Ethiopia.
They emphasized that they will always stand in solidarity for Ethiopia’s sovereignty by setting aside their political views.
They also claimed that the interventions by Western countries and international organizations to save the terrorist TPLF are denials of the crystal clear reality.
The opposition political parties leaders stated that the Westerners demonstrated their desire time and again to endanger Ethiopia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In an interview with FBC, the vice chairperson of NAMA, Mr. Melkamu Shumye, stressed that foreign intervention and pressures cannot be left to the government or the ruling party alone, but everyone should stand in solidarity.
Raya Rayuma Party’s leadership member, Shewaye Berihun, explained that the political parties must put their country before political differences.
She also called on the parties to think beyond political differences and stand in solidarity on national matters.
On the other hand, the leadership member of the Ethiopian Women Politicians consortium, Nebiha Mohammed, said that Ethiopia has the capacity to solve its own internal matters and does not require anyone’s intervention.
The politicians also delivered a message to stand together without political differences, explain the facts, provide information and work together to strengthen national unity.
