Addis Ababa, May 3, 2022 (FBC) – Activities are underway to register the Bale Mountains National Park by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a world heritage site.
The meeting was attended by Chief Administrator of Oromia Regional State Shimelis Abdissa, Minister of Tourism, Ambassador Nasise Chali, officials of the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority and Oromia Tourism Bureau, Director of the Frankfurt Zoological Society of Ethiopia and other stakeholders.
Stakeholders discussed the ongoing efforts to ensure more benefit to the nation through the inscription of the park under UNESCO.
