Addis Ababa, March 7, 2023 (FBC) – The first batch of Norwegian ‘Fill a Plane’ humanitarian flight loaded with 10 metric tons of humanitarian flight arrived in Addis Ababa on Monday evening.
Ambassador of Norway to Ethiopia, Stian Christensen has received the Norwegian team upon the arrival of the 737 MAX 8 aircraft loaded with 10 tonnes of emergency aid from UNICEF’s warehouse in Copenhagen in Addis Ababa.
For the sixth time, Norwegian in collaboration with UNICEF Norway has sent a plane with emergency aid to Ethiopia in support of children affected by drought.
“I am very happy that we can contribute to getting even more direct emergency aid to children in Ethiopia and, through this, contribute to putting the spotlight on one of the world’s biggest crises,” said Geir Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian.
