No greater patriotism than spending money, knowledge and labor on those who need it most: PM Abiy

Addis Ababa, September 6, 2022 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has extended gratitude to people participated in social service aimed to address societal challenges with public participation.

“The world is sustained by doing good things done for others. There is no greater patriotism than spending our money, knowledge and labor on those who need it the most,” the Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.

One of the principles we have been following since the beginning of the reform is solving of social problems through social responsibilities, the Premier said.

“We have undertaking a wide range of activities to make good deeds such as sharing of food with the needy, building and renovating houses for the poor, building schools and health facilities and making the environment green a culture among the community.”

“Millions have participating in these good deeds. People from all walks of life have made this their culture. On behalf of myself and the government, I extend gratitude to all who participated in these social services this year.”

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed handed over houses built for the elderly and low-income residents of Abuare area, Addis Ababa on Volunteers Day.

This handover is part of the annual home renovation project initiated by Prime Minister Abiy, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.
