Addis Ababa, August 1, 2024 (FBC) – The 24 newly appointed Ethiopian ambassadors swore an oath today before President Sahle-Work Zewde to protect their country’s national interests and carry out their duties to the best of their abilities.
The President congratulated the ambassadors on the honor of representing their country and expressed her hope that they would diligently fulfill their responsibilities.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie, congratulated the ambassadors, emphasizing that serving their country is the greatest honor.
He expressed confidence in their ability to advance Ethiopia’s interests in both bilateral and multilateral settings, citing the extensive training they had received over the past three weeks, as per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia (MFA Ethiopia).
