Addis Ababa, December 26, 2020 (FBC) – Maastricht School of Management of the Netherlands donated six field vehicles worth 550,000 Euros to FTVETI and Agricultural Polytechnic Colleges found in Oromia and Amhara regional states.
The purchase of the field vehicles has been financed by Foreign Affairs Ministry of the government of Netherlands, it is stated on the occasion.
Maastricht School of Management has handed over the field vehicles to officials of the Federal Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institute (FTVETI) via its project, Bright Future in Agriculture Ethiopia.
Bright Future in Agriculture Ethiopia Director, Dr. Solomon Moges handed over the keys of the field vehicles to the management of FTVETI yesterday.
Bright Future in Agriculture Project is being implemented since last year with a view to help graduates of agricultural sciences especially in areas related to dairy farming and horticulture create their own business.
The vehicles have been bout at a cost of 550,000 Euros, it is indicated on the occasion.
Deputy Director of FTVETI, Eniyew Getnet said the vehicles will have a paramount significance in supporting job creation efforts being exerted jointly by the government the project especially agricultural fields.
Four out of the six field vehicles are to be distributed to Bako and Kombolcha in Oromia and Woreta and Merawi Agricultural Polytechnic Colleges in Amhara Regional States while the two are appropriated the federal institute.
