Addis Ababa, February 4, 2020 (FBC) –The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) announced the decision it has taken on division of assets between the EPRDF coalition.
The board’s decision came after a letter sent by the Chairperson of the EPRDF indicated that the Front had been dissolved, said NEBE in a statement today.
Following the dissolution, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) submitted a letter to the Board requesting division of assets to be made between the coalition.
Realizing that the remaining three parties have formed a single party called Prosperity Party (PP), the board decided ¾ the share of assets of the Front to be given for the three parties.
According to the Board’s decision, TPLF will be entitled to receive ¼ the share of the assets.
The coalition was given six months to finalize division of assets and notify to the board.
