Addis Ababa, November 23, 2020 (FBC) –About 796 people have been arrested in alleged plot to carry out terrorist attacks and incite unrest in various parts of Addis Ababa after taking mission from TPLF junta, said the Addis Ababa Police Commission.
The suspects were arrested following operations undertake by the commission since November 4, 2020 to foil plans of the junta to carry out terrorist attacks by taking advantage of the relationship networking it had built during the past 27 years, the commission noted.
According to the commission, many weapons and documents, including 202 uniforms of security personnel were seized from different individuals’ houses and institutions.
The public’s participation was immense for the successes achieved so far, the commission said, further encouraging the residents of the city to join hands in the efforts of police to arrest other suspects.
