Addis Ababa, November 29, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Education announced that more than 1.2 million students are out of school due to aggression of the terrorist TPLF Group in several parts of Ethiopia.
According to the information the Ministry unveiled a month ago, 1,600 schools that were teaching from grade 1 to 12 were damaged while 300 were completely destroyed by forces of the terrorist group.
The Education State Minister, Samuel Kifle (PhD) said that four universities in Tigray Region, as well as Woldiya University in Amhara regional state have been shut down due to atrocities committed by the terrorist group, and students and teachers from these universities have been transferred to other peer institutions.
The State Minister also said that it is necessary to wipe out the terrorist group forces in a short period of time and focus on the education development endeavors.
The Ministry of Education will be working to restore the schools destroyed by the criminal element, the State Minister added.
