Addis Ababa, September 13, 2022 (FBC) – The Minister of Labor and Skills, Muferihat Kamil, and the Chief Executive Officer of MIDROC Investment Group, Jemal Ahmed, signed the joint plan implementation agreement regarding the cooperation of the Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS) with MIDROC Investment Group.
Muferihat Kamil stressed that the agreement signed with MIDROC Investment Group is invaluable for our efforts in skills, employment and industry.
We will work together to provide skilled manpower, increase productivity and protect occupational safety in five sectors that have high market demand, such as agriculture, tourism and mining, she asserted.
CEO Jemal Ahmed, meanwhile, stated that since MIDROC has 50 large-scale companies engaged in 6 sectors and manages 64, 000 employees, it is a good opportunity to work together with MoLS to address the management gap.
He also acknowledged the government’s efforts to expand enterprises, underlining that it is important to strengthen these emerging enterprises so that they can create many employment opportunities.
