Addis Ababa, November 9, 2020 (FBC) – The Ministry of Defence has rejected TPLF’s claim that it had shot down a fighter jet belonging to Ethiopian Air Force.
“The information is totally false,” said Major General Mohammed Tessema, Defence Indoctrination Director General at the Ministry.
He said the Ethiopian Air Force has been striking targeted areas in Tigray regional state.
The Ethiopian fighter jets launched air strike last week following attack by TPLF group on the national defence force and federal police members
He said fighter jets are still conducting airstrike in targeted areas.
According to Maj Gen Mohammed, the Ethiopian Defense Forces have freed several areas from the destructive forces of the TPLF group.
Several members of the Tigray Special Forces and militia have been surrendering to the Ethiopian force, he said.
