Addis Ababa, April 25, 2022 (FBC) – The Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland Areas stated that it is working hard to help recover drought affected areas in Oromia.
The Ministry has provided Oromia Region with over 6.3 million birr budget to help drought affected areas quickly recover from the situation.
During the handover ceremony, The Irrigation and Lowland Areas Minister, Engineer Aysha Mohammed said that continued efforts are underway to make rehabilitation projects in low land areas fruitful.
President of the Oromia Regional State, Shimelis Abdisa, for his part expressed gratitude to the Ministry for the support, reiterating government’s commitment to reinstate drought affected people in a sustainable manner.
