Ministry of Education, ICDL ink MoU to elevate students’ digital soft skill

Addis Ababa, December 13, 2024 (FBC) – A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education, ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) and Kepler to elevate digital and soft skills of university students and graduates.

The MOU will help enhancing University-Industry Linkage thereby facilitating conditions where graduates can advance their skills and find job opportunities.

In his speech at the signing ceremony, Minister of State for Higher Education Development at the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, Korra Tushunie, asseerted that the MoU will help university students and graduates identify digital and soft skill gaps.

The state minister added that the agreement will help elevate linkage and cooperation between higher education institutions and the industry sector.

On her part, General Manager of ICDL Africa, Solange Umulisa said that her organization is committed to equip Africans with appropriate digital skills.
