Addis Ababa, February 3, 2020 (FBC) – The Ministry of Peace (MoP) said it has formulated a cooperative framework to work with civil society organizations (CSOs).
The framework which would help to cooperate in the areas of peace and democracy building, election, and conflict-resolution, is tabled for discussion today.
In her remarks at the event, Firealem Shibabaw, State Minister of Peace, said the Government has now changed its previous stance regarding CSOs.
“It is now time for the government to work with civic associations,” she added at the discussion of the framework that consists of 10 areas of cooperation.
Human rights, women and children issues and rule of law are also among the areas of cooperation included in the framework.
