Ministry enjoins the Mojo inland port extension project managers to speed up construction

Addis Ababa, October 21, 2022 (FBC) – Ministry of Transport and Logistics-Ethiopia (MoTL) enjoined the Mojo Inland Port Logistics Service Center expansion project managers to expedite the construction so that it can be completed within the scheduled time frame.

The project managers briefed the Ministry of Transport and Logistics regarding the construction progress.

According to the review report, more than 400 metric tons of soil has been cut, more than 30,000 tons of soil filling, and the production of concrete used to make a ground surface for unloading containers has been completed.

Hence, it has been suggested that if the construction continues at the current pace, more than 50% of the project can be completed in the coming few months.

Minister of Transport and Logistics, Dagmawit Moges, in her message, enjoined the project managers to complete it as soon as possible considering the importance of the port for facilitating the growing import and export trade of Ethiopia.

MoTL confirmed that it will work closely with the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration to ensure supply of cement and other construction inputs are fulfilled.
