Addis Ababa, June 5, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Health stated that a wide range of activities to reinstate health care institutions that have not yet been reopened and restore full service at all levels.
The Ministry announced concerted efforts underway in collaboration with international aid organizations, UN Agencies and other partners.
Through collaborate works undertaken after the end of the law enforcement operation, the federal and the interim administration have managed to reopen 46.5pct of the health care services in the region
Health care institutions in the region at all levels have been provided with drugs and medical supplies amounting to 310 million Birr, the ministry disclosed.
Ministry and partners have appropriated more than 215 Million Birr for implementation of health programs in the region.
According to the Ministry of Health, 80 doctors, 25 nurses and 15 midwives have been hired to assist the recovery of the health care services in Tigray.
