Addis Ababa, May 8, 2020 (FBC) – Ministry of Agriculture today distributed 28 field cars and 146 motor bicycles to six regions to enhance the logistic sector in recipient areas.
The logistic support co-organized by Livestock and Fishery Development project aims to enhance the livestock and fishery development sector in recipient regions, the ministry stated.
“Besides, the vehicles can be used for COVID 19 pandemic control activities. As usual we thank Wrold Bank for the support” the Agricultur Minister Oumer Hussien tweeted.
On the key handover ceremony, it is stated the support benefits 1.2 million households 1,755 Kebeles in 58 Woredas found in recipient regions.
Oromiia, Amhara, SNNP, Tigray, Gambella, Benshangul Gumuz are listed by the ministry as beneficiary regions.
