Addis Ababa, September 30, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has awarded licenses to six companies to conduct mineral exploration in Ethiopia.
Mines and Petroleum Minister Engineer Takele Uma and the managers of the companies have signed the exploration agreement.
Accordingly, Kurmuk Gold Mines, Ethno Mining, and Oromia Mining have been licensed for gold mining.
Ali Hamil Kahdim has been permitted to bromine search; Kiripto Mining and Chemicals, and Bhoomi Mining companies will be engaged in marble works.
The registered capital of the companies is said to be amounted to USD$4.7 billion.
