Addis Ababa, March 22, 2021 (FBC) – Messebo cement plant in Tigray regional state has resumed production after four months of suspension due to law enforcement operation carried out in the region.
According to Melaku Alebel, Minister of Trade, the factory has started supplying its product to stabilize the market.
As a result of strict measures taken by the Ministry, the price of cement per quintal has decreased from 600 birr to 420 birr now in Addis Ababa city, Melaku said.
In order to stabilize the cement market across the country, works were underway to bridge the gap between demand and supply, he added.
