Kizhi State Open Air Museum pledges to share experience with Ethiopian peer institutions

Addis Ababa, July 7, 2023 (FBC) – Kizhi State Open Air Museum of History, Architecture and Ethnography pledged to cooperate with Ethiopian peer institutions in conservation and promotion of national heritages in the country.

A delegation of Kizhi State Open Air Museum of History have recently paid a visit to Ethiopia and toured cultural and historical sites in Addis Ababa including the National Museum of Ethiopia.

During the occasion, Elena Bogdanova, Director of Kizhi State Open Air Museum of History, Architectural and Ethnography exclusively told Fana Broadcasting that Ethiopia and Russian have many things in common that would serve as a fertile ground to forge cooperation between the museum and similar Ethiopian public organizations in the areas of experience sharing and knowledge transfer.

Saying that her organization has so far made an experience sharing platform and conducted discussions with Ethiopian officials and professionals of Ethiopia’s Authority for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritages, Elena Bogdanova affirmed commitment to create deeper cooperation with a view to enhance cultural and people to people ties between the two countries.

“The Kizhi Museum has a profound experience in the field of heritage conservation and restoration and is willing to share it with Ethiopian professionals and researchers in the field,” Elena Bogdanova added.
