Addis Ababa, May 16, 2020 (FBC) –Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa city, Engineer Takele Uma today inaugurated the Kaliti bus depot built at a cost of 790 million birr.
Rested on 5.2 hectares of land, the depot has a garage, 12 washing bays, four fuel stations, state-of-the-art administration building and CCTV cameras.
The depot could serve 250-300 buses at the ground and 85 buses at the underground levels on a daily basis.
The inauguration of the depot is part of the city administration’s goal of completing projects that it stared, said Engineer Takele at the event.
Engineer Aweke Haile, manager of Addis Ababa city administration, stated the depot will offer service for the 3,000 buses that the administration will purchase in the future.
