Joint Council of Political Parties in Ethiopia hold TPLF accountable for ongoing conflict

Addis Ababa, November 18, 2021 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Political Parties’ Joint Council held the terrorist TPLF Group accountable for the ongoing conflict in the country.

The council held emergency meeting focused on the current situation in the country on Thursday.

On the occasion, the Joint council undrlined that the terrorist TPLF started the war after it had attacked the Northern Command of the National Army which was based in Tigray for more than two decades.

The Goverment of Ethiopia had given peace a chance before the conlict started but the TPLF which is the source of the problem failed to resprocate, the council.

The year long war waged by the terrorist element has caused huge devastation in Amhara and Afar region, claimed lives of innocents and forced msny to flee their homes, the council indicatibg.

The ongoing media propaganda being backed by external powets against Ethiopia  is part of the war, it said.

The council denounced the ongoing attempts to impose a puppwt goverment on the nation calling all Ethiopians to continue support to IDPs who fled hones due to attrocities being committed by the terrorist group.
