Addis Ababa, March 19, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga met with the Senior Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Ando NAOKI at his office today.
Ambassador Mesagnu said JICA is an important partner in Ethiopia’s development journey in areas of capacity building, technology transfer, and the Kaizen philosophy, adding that the Senior Vice President’s visit to Ethiopia is a symbolic and significant one.
He commended JICA’s support in health, agriculture and manufacturing sectors and called on Japanese companies to take advantage of the trade and investment opportunities created by the macroeconomic reforms.
The Senior Vice President on his part expressed his admiration for the clear vision of economic development in Ethiopia pursued through the macroeconomic reforms.
He further said JICA will continue to work closely with the Government of Ethiopia in multifold sectors.
