Addis Ababa, May 29, 2023 (FBC) – Ambassador of Japan to Ethiopia, Ito Takako, stated that her country will continue to strengthen its development support to Ethiopia.
Built with the support of the Japanese government at the cost of 13 million birr in Negele Woreda, Western Arsi zone of Oromia region, a Farmers’ Training Center (FTC) was handed over.
It is indicated that officials of the Federal government and Oromia region as well as local residents attended the handover ceremony.
During the handover event, Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ito Takako, said Ethiopia and Japan have enjoyed a well-established relation for more than 65 years.
In recent years, the Japanese government has been backing many development projects in Ethiopia, it is mentioned.
The Farmers’ Training Center (FTC) was built in the ‘Turge Galo’ kebele of Negele Woreda, West Arsi Zone. It is also stated that this is a demonstration of development cooperation between the two countries.
It is said that by expanding similar projects in Amhara and Oromia regions, Japan will continue to support the undertakings embarked to improve the lives of farmers and advance the agriculture sector.
