Japan construction company to enter Ethiopian market

Addis Ababa, March 29, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to Japan, Kassa Tekleberhan met with Taizo Yamamoto, the Chairman of Maruyama Koumuten Co., Ltd, a construction company specializing in installing basement structures.

Ambassador Kassa briefed the Chairman about Ethiopia`s favorable investment climate and existing opportunities for prospective investors in various sectors.

Ambassador Kassa in particularly elaborated on construction projects identified for a joint venture in Ethiopia’s ten-year transport perspective plan.

Taizo Yamamoto for his part expressed his company`s keen interest to invest in exporting construction machinery to the Ethiopian market and to involve in basement construction.

The Chairman also expressed his company`s readiness to offer training opportunities for Ethiopians and transfer technological know-how to its specialized areas, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
