Addis Ababa, January 29, 2021 (FBC) – Japan signed a grant contract for expansion project of Dalota pre-primary school in Galan town, Oromia special zone.
The signing ceremony of the grant contract was held in the presence of.ITO Takako, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ethiopia, and Ahmed Idris, Mayor of Galan City.
Japan has donated nearly $90,000 for the project, through the Japanese Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
Under this project, one block of four classrooms with furniture and a toilet block will be constructed at the school.
Japan has implemented over 400 projects across Ethiopia since the GGP was introduced in 1989.
The GGP focuses on community development through supporting needy communities in such areas as education, vocational training, access to water and sanitation, economic growth, health, food security and so forth.
