ITU Regional Dev’t Forum for Africa 2023 kicks off in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 3, 2023 (FBC) – The International Telecommunication Union Regional Development Forum for Africa (ITU RDF-AFR) 2023 has kicked off this morning in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Organized by ITU and hosted by the Government of Ethiopia, ITU’s Regional Development Forum will take place from 3 to 5 October 2023 at Elilly Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Forum is being held in hybrid format under the theme “Digital transformation for a sustainable and equitable digital future: Accelerating the implementation of the SDGs in Africa through Digital Transformation”.

It is stated that the Regional Development Forum for Africa provides an opportunity for the exchange of views between ITU Member States, Sector Members, partners and other stakeholders.

The RDF-AFR also provides an opportunity for the ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) to report on the progress that has been made towards the implementation of the outcomes of the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2022 (WTDC-22), including the four Regional Initiatives for Africa.
